Thread: Seismic 2D interpretation Time to Depth

  1. Seismic 2D interpretation Time to Depth

Hi everybody, I would appreciate very much if anybody could help me to the Velocity Model.
    I'll explain the situation:
I have only the 2D PSTM Data in an area without any exploration well, just four (04) stratigraphic wells, the basement is not reached in those wells and some logging like Gamma ray, Caliper and Sonic.

the Isochores of three horizons was made from the Outcrop.

The question is how to do the conversion from time to depth.

    thanks much.

Hi, do you have the PSTM velocity model? If no, you may want to consider the sonic (slowness) to velocity -> please beware that sonic tend to travel faster due to higher frequency (recommend to calibrate with checkshot). i hope this help.

Hi, you can use the velocity analysis of the seismic data processing, and calibrate it with sonic logs and checkshots
    Good luck
