    Hi

Based on ASME B31.3 if you are using standard factory-made weldolet (or other fitting) per ASME B16.9 , there is no need more calculation ,

    hi there
thank you, but if the weldolet is not standard?

  6. Re: Weldolet Design

Then you can resort to para 304.7.2. Weldolets are per MSS SP-97

The weldolet, sockolet and many other fitting, are registered products of Bonney Forge, therefore, you will not find it in any standard code.

Incorrect. See my previous reply. Weldolets are per MSS SP 97, not ASME B16.9. The new ASME B31.3 does detail welding requirements for olets.

The MSS are practices standardized of manufacturers and are established only by reference in other documents such as specifications, in this case, the designer and owner of this products is Bonney Forge. You can review the weldolet specifications visiting BonneyForge.com.
