Cool XRF Analyzer - Which One to choose?

    Dear All,

our Positive Alloy Material Identification Spectroport machine, after twenty years of service to the company, has almost left us.
We're looking for a new machine to replace it.

Our shop is located in Italy and We work with Low Alloy / Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel materials (and we need to detect %Carbon content too, for "H" material such as 304H, 347H,...). We mainly check pressure vessels (convection coils), and pipings, so we need a portable instrument.

Considering that we perform n° 100/150 analysis each day, do you have any advice of which portable xrf analyzer is right for us?

I was looking for some online shops and I found that they are really cheap compared to our instrument suppliers. Anyboady has ever bought something from those shops?

In Italy buying a Niton XL2 costs almost 20.000$, in these shops 6-8,000 $. It seems so strange to me.

    Thanks in advance and regards.
