To determine the tensile strength at temperature, B31.3; 302.3.2 (f) states that "the tensile (yield) strength at temperature shall be derived by multiplying the average expected tensile (yield) at temperature..."

Does ASME have guidelines to dictate how many samples are necessary for this average? Would three samples at room temperature and three at temperature be sufficient to satisfy this requirement?
