Fiscal Gas Metering in High CO2

Dear All,

I've problems with the selection of fiscal (custody transfer) gas metering system of the natural gas pipeline with 20% CO2. Firstly I selected to use Ultrasonic Flow Meter (UFM) for pipeline 12, 16 and 18 inches. But information from one Vendor (Daniel) required minimum pressures which are above the operating pressure range (min - max). The Vendor recommended to use the UFM which the operating pressure range above the minimum pressure required.

Can anyone recommend/suggest the type of meters for the above mentioned conditions? For the sizes 16 and 18 inches, can I use orifice gas meter?

orifice meter can be used for this, ufm isn't suitable for hign co2,

1. The use of USM for Percentage of Co2 depends on the operating pressure.

2. you can select the USM for lower operating pressure ranges for a lower velocty , however the capacity of the meter shall be drastically reduced for the flow rates.

3. You can always use orifice metering compromising on the accuracy & the DP part.
