fea of storage tanks

i need to know if i am designing storage tank in AMETANK do i further need to do fea (ANSYS) analysis on it.

i don't think so, ametank make the shell thickness calculations,earthquake and wind according api 650, if you do fea on it you may get smaller thicknesses on shell , but then it becomes a problem of what thickness you chose
Then it's the problem : what does it says in the datasheet? Does it says to check the api calculations against fea?
