Ground investigation and in-situ testing are to be done to profile the groundwater conditions as well as underlying rocks and soils. For these to be carried out, some advanced technology is used. Non-intrusive and Intrusive techniques are used for ground investigations. Non-intrusive method includes geophysical survey, geological and outcrop mapping etc and intrusive includes asphalt coring, geotechnical drilling etc. DCT (Dynamic Cone Testing), FVT (Field Vane Shear Test) etc are the methods used for in-situ testing.
