  1. Help in eclipse

    Dear reservoir engineers,

what the defference between pressure average (9-5-4 points) and pressure average FPR

and which is matched with observed static and dynamic pressure .

    Re: Help in eclipse

    Basically you match you BHP
The avearge BHP5, BHP9 is the average of 5 or 9 cells near well trajectory
So just match BHP since this pressure at well perforation and logically its the mathc to observed dynamic pressure

    thank you temr

What about FPR field average pressure ?

is it necessery to start the match with the FPR ?

    Re: Help in eclipse

The FPR is the question of the quality of your field data.
For example, if you stop the well to check you pressure static but there is and working well near which can interfere the pressure data this measurements will not be correct.
Also if there are active aquifer and low permeability rock you will underestimate you FP.
So what i normally do is matching my BHPH with BHP . So the logic is following - if i match my rates and pressure at well , i match the pressure at reservoir level.

just to add to Temr suggestions:
    - make sure your pressures at the same datums. Field/region pressure will be at datum from Equil while BHP (i think) at top perf unless you specify it (either COMPDAT or Welspecs)
-depending on your field size, column and permeability your BHP9-5 etc may be different from FPR
    - some software packages for example S3Graf allow input of pressure and time with text file so you can compare pressure from well tests etc to FPR from simulator
    good luck
ps. sorry don't have manuals with me and cannot say re- BHP datum
