basically, vessel internals are not in the pressure bounary and it does not has to be the material limited by ASME. As long as it meet the mechanical strength requirement. it should be ok. More things you may also consider is if it is sour service or errsion service. If it is, yo have to get it meet the corrosion and erosion requirement. It pretty much depend on the situation of services.
For sour service, similary material has to sued if it it weld to shell directly to prevent poision the shell material.
