Help with identifying this laminar microstructure effect

Hi, i hope I have entered in the correct forum here.
I have attached a photograph of a macroscopic examination of a carbon steel butt weld. I noticed a horizontal line through the centre of the macro. I have heard the term carbon disbonding but I can not find any information on that term.
Delamination has not occurred, it is microstructure change only therefore no defect in the plate.
Please could someone shed light on what this horizontal line could be.

    Thanks
