I have been working on Microcomputerized Tomography as a reservoir characterization tool. The technology has been derived from Medical field. It gives internal structure of the rock. Wonderful thing about these technology is that it can give all rock properties by imaging and simulation, from the smallest size of sample (like drill cuttings). These includes,

Grain/Pore size, shape distribution, permeability, porosity, a, m and n factors (electrical properties), elastic moduli, relative permeability. It is an upcoming technology, but has a drawback of representativeness of the values. There are potential application of this technology in Virtual EOR.

I would like to know about further applications of the present technology (which are improvised in industry), especially an information which reduces uncertainties in conventional reservoir characterization techniques or derives an additional information.
I would be happy to discuss about the topic as it will improve my understanding on the technology.
