Hello, everyone!

I am having a hard time using optimization in ChemCAD.

My objective function is to minimize the reboiler duty in a distillation column.
I create a new optimization model, set to minimize variable 41 Calc. reb. duty.

Then I go set the independent variables (the ones that the program can change).
I pick 2 No. of stages and 3 1st Feed Stage with min/max constraints and initial values.

When I click on Perform Optimization, there are some simulations going on, but in the end the answer is the same as the initial values pick in the first time.

Please help me if you know how to use Optimization. It”s very foggy in here and I need a helpful hand.
