I know that to date US make financial contributions towards commercializing shale gas exploration and drilling. The problem is that shale gas is trapped under solid impermeable soil material deep under the ground. Although it seems to be a viable opportunity, I do not think that it can be applied in any region of the world. I had problems with formulating an explanation of which type of region is feasible for shale gas production/exploration? Thanks!
