Hello friends,

I would like to know the steps/criteria to design a multistage orifice plate. Such a design is needed due to high flow rate and dP, due to which noise calculated is above 85 db. Any hints would be most welcome; do we start from the inlet pressure and size each bore so the noise at each stage is within limits?

Also, I have seen some cases with multi-hole and multistage orifice plates. Any tips on such a design would also be welcome.
