Valve Characteristic For On-Off Valve

Hi everyone

For dynamic simulation, I need some guidance for determining liquid flowrate passing through an XV (HIPPS shutdown valve) while XV is closing. XV is 20" ball valve. A consultant will perform the dynamic simulation. Any guidance will be appreciated. For on-off valves, is there any information on characteristic curve. Please let me know if its clear.
