I work in an Offshore oil field in india. We have the facility to close a well in remote well(SSV)platform through radio signal from the mother process platform. The Well control Shutdown panel has the logic that as SSV of a well is closed, well's Gas lift Shutdown valve also gets closed. While opening the well . SSV can be opened through radio signal but, GI shutdown valve has to be opened locally. My query is
1. Is it safe or advisable as per standard international practice to open a well remotely
2 Is it necessary that Gas lift Shutdown valve must close with SSV closure
I want to be informed about he standard international practice, if I could get some document / guidelines regarding that i'll be very pleased
