Hi all,
I've been sizing relief valves but I've now been tasked with calculating the forces on the discharge piping of one valve. I see the Crosby Relief Valve Handbook has a section devoted to Reaction Forces - are these simply translatable to the pipe as a worst case? Additionally, the discharge piping has a drip pan elbow, which I'm led to be believe negates the reaction forces of the relief valve.
