Simulate Multiple Phase Pump in HYSYS

I am to run a simulation in HYSYS that will require me to use multiple phase pump. From the normal equipment pallet, there is only a liquid pump
And as far as i know, we can't connect vapor stream to the pump as the pump.

Is there anyway for me to use a multiple phase pump in HYSYS?

i suggest to use compressor - centrifugal type for replacement, just my opinion

You can't model multiphase pumps without it highlighting it as an error. If you install a separator upstream you can use a pump on the liquid stream and a compressor on the vapour stream to get the total pseudo-power required. But I have to ask, vapor inside a pump is a bad thing. It will cavitate and fail. What simulation are you running that needs this setup?

Use pump and compressor by splitting streams into liquid and gas. As the multi phase pumps are screw pumps. centrifugal pumps and centrifugal compressors can be used.

I do not believe Aspen Hysys has this capability. You might need a program like Olga to do something like that.

@gtaa, there are indeed multiphase pumps in the upstream side of the petroleum business. These are special design pumps capable of pumping liquid and gas, over the entire vapor fraction range from 100% gas to 0%.

Correct but consider that, as per my personal experience, the adiabatic efficiency for the compressor and pump must be <=25%.
The default value of Hysys is 75% and with this efficiency the power of the system (Pump+Compressor) is UNDERESTIMATE.
This my experience is with an supplier of multiphase pumps (Construction Phase of Project with Multiphase Pumps of 5000 SBPD (Liquid) + 60 mc/h (ACT Gas Flow).
The quantity 25% is an "rule of thumb" but i don't know if is equal for all the suppliers/cases
