Dear Friends
I want to calculate maximum flow capacity in existing 24" pipe. This pipe is header for some gas wells and outgoing gas transfers with 30" pipeline. Which standards should I use? Which criteria and formula?
Thanks in advance.

HI As far as I know there is no strict figure for gas velocity . parameters such as pipe material ,allowable pressure drop and..... are important . but have it in mind that
this velocity must not reach to sound velocity in this media.all figures are recommended vel. i should note that higher velocity means higher pressure drop.
I wonder why header is larger than transferepipe
