Thread: Fluid In Place in LGR in Eclipse

  1. Fluid In Place in LGR in Eclipse

    Hi,
Can someone help me to understand why fluids in place (oil, water or gas) are not calculated for LGR in Eclipse, example is in the first picture, so in LGR cells FIPOIL values are "undefined", why? Or its an issue of the Petrel visualization/or I do something wrong?
As with other parameters its fine (see other pics), so these cells have their own perms and sats so why still there is no in place then?
I'm just beginner in sim and for information - I used simple test model and Ecl 2010 + Pet 2012.1, I will appreciate your help & your experience in this matter guys, thanks.

Maybe you should populate grid with properties after you applied LGR. Or maybe you should recalculate reservoir properties after you applied LGR (just like in CMG). Check porosity and thickness values in LGR blocks, maybe they are zeros.

Also check up your license – does it allow Local Grid Refinement.
