Just wanted to share this.
I am having a android phone and some how the phone got locked.
I provided pattern locking on phone.
Data connection is normally off on my phone,
Hence, I could unlock through Internet (GMAIL - Account)
Best option left out was to format the phone
This was achieved as below.

Switch off the phone.....
Press Sound button up side (Top side)
Press the menu button
Now restart the phone (Both the buttons as told should be pressed, while phone is restarting)

You will see a Linux screen.
Go to appropriate option and reset phone to factory defaults.

Suggestion : 1. Please remove memory card.
2. Occassionally copy contacts to memory card. (Such that loss of contacts is less)
