I'm actually working in an asphalt manufacturing project. The main feedstock are the asphaltenes (by-product) from the solvent deasphalting process. the idea is to produce road-paving asphalt (bitumen 40/50, 60/70, 80/100).

I was searching in the web and the dowstream processes to produce this product are not explicit. I saw that the oxidation process is suitable for the roof asphalt but I need guidance in the other downstreem process for the road-paving asphalt.

I also have other feedstock such as the aromatic extract from the furfural extraction and shor residue from the vacuum distillation process.
