Hi petroleum community !
Just want to ask question about expansion joint connected to a pump.
So we have our pump, the expansion joint, few tube and a main anchor (all straight on - in one line (my english isn't that clear)).
Do we have to consider the thrust effect on the flange of the pump connection ?
I have read in "witzenmann book" that the pipe connection practically forces free and that the Reaction force absorbed by supports (main supports of the pump).
Thx for clearing my thoughts
