AspenONE (Aspen Plus; Aspen Hysis; etc.) - Training materials

Hello,

I have the access to all the materials on AspenTech (for some time).

The problem is that the videos (it is not just video - rather interactive video like click button in flash or play pause or go further buttons etc.) are running directly from the support.aspentech.com and there is no possibility to click download whole the file or files to be able to watch without internet.

The videos seem to be Interactive Flash Application that are primarily broadcast via browser.

Only thing I can do is broadcast the video for example via RealPlayer.

But in any case the video is streamed from the website and I do not know how to download.


So if somebody knows how to get it.. It is a question..

try Savevid, i do not know but it can save you tube streaming once u paste url

I have already tried to use Orbit downloader and If I use the software for let's say youtube video it works (the software detects the URL and then I can download that) but If I want the software to detect URL for the Aspen kind of video (or Flash Interactive Application) so it does not.

There (on this website) were people who uploaded the (some older) videos from AspenTech but I have not found out so far how they downloaded that.

I can only stream the videos via browser or player like RealPlayer because I can only download a file which connect the RealPlayer with the internet. That is all. I can not download the source.

It is video where I can click next button and go on on the next slide so it is not classic video - it is something like Flash Interactive Application.


So if somebody knows.. There are very interesting materials..

If this is a flash application... i guess you can download it with internet explorer and searching the cookies attached to.

You have to play all available content and later find the cookies. If this works... please share the material you have about.

If you are using Firefox, you can install "add-on" for flash video downloading, then you can download the streaming flash video

Dear Slaiderone, do you have access to aspentech support?, can you download all modules of the new Aspen Plus V8 Teaching Modules?, if you can, please share with this forum. According to AspenTech, there are 52 new Teaching Modules based on the new Aspen Plus. Best regards.
