Dear all,

I only started to work in oild and gas a month ago and I have a question regarding my first task with PIPESIM.

I am simulating a subsea tie-back (flowline and riser) and comparing the outlet temperature (separator) with that obtained in OLGA by my colleagues.
However, the outlet temperature when the production falls (WC = 83.8%) is 8 degree different with PIPESIM (26.7Cdeg vs 35Cdeg obtained with OLGA). Also, PIPESIM seems to produce outlet temperatures always lower than those in OLGA, but for smaller WC (initial production) this difference is between 1-2Cdeg. Additonaly, the U input values in PIPESIM for the flowline (buried) and the riser are those calculated in OLGA (2 and 2.5 W/m2K respectively). Also, OLGA correlations and the same EOS (Peng Robinson) were used in PIPESIM.

If the mass flow rates, compositions and geometrical data is the same in both softwares... does ayone have the experience to be able to advise why such a may difference occurs?

Thank you very much!!!
