Ferrite count at unacceptable range...How to rectify the welded joint?
Thanks
Would you please provide some more details?
Material, consumable? Acceptable ferrite number? Actual ferrite number?

For 316L our acceptable range is 2-9 Fn. I already discussed in a facebook group. It came in the discussion, if the weldment Fn is out of the acceptable range, to rectify the weldment needs to be removed and reweld. Is that ok? Thanks.
Yes, you need to remove the weld.
What were the consumables used for welding the joint?
You may use ferrite prediction program to know pre-welding a joint for which ferrite control is mandatory. It helps in ensuring compliance to ferrite number requirements and save time /cost which incurs post welding in case of non-compliance.
