WET GAS compression simulation with PRODE PROPERTIES

For a WET GAS compression application I am utilizing the method for polytropic stages with phase equilibria available in PRODE PROPERTIES,
the procedure allows to solve (in both design and rating modes) a polytropic stage with single phase or two phases flows (it calculates phase equliibria).
    My version has two methods,

    1) Huntington method which is applicable to gas phase only

    2) Proprietary method which is applicable to gas, gas + liquid and liquid phases

option 2) for gas gives results very close to Huntington method.
However it is slower (it solves phase equilibria too) and it's better to utilize this option when there is some liquid.
With option 2) one can simulate different kind of equipments as centrifugal compressors, screw compressors, pumps etc.
In design mode the procedure requires a value for polytropic efficiency (which is available from manufacturers or can be estimated)
in rating mode the procedure calculates the values of polytropic efficiency based on measured data.

thanks mderra for sharing your results,
my experience with PRODE PROPERTIES is limited to some applications for centrifugal compressors
however I would be interested to know more about simulation of screw compressors cycles.

Re: WET GAS compression simulation with PRODE PROPERTIES

    as correctly reported by mderra
the value of polytropic efficiency must be estimated or given by manufacturer,
with screw compressors you may try to calculate the value from operating curves
    or infield measurement,
PRODE PROPERTIES allows to solve in both design and rating modes a polytropic stage,
in design mode you calculate outlet conditions given polytropic efficiency,
in rating mode you calculate polytropic efficiency given outlet conditions

    mderra,
    can I model screws ?
    Which efficiency should I enter?
