Firewater deluge system velocity limit for titanium

Hi,

could any of you advise on what is the max. velocity limit for titanium piping used in firewater deluge system (downstream od deluge valve). My experience is that this is typically below the erosional velocity of the piping material used, and that NFPA15 & 16 does not set a velocity limit on deluge system too.

Norsok P-001 does provide limit for titanium at 7m/s , and it indicated a velocity limit of 10m/s is allow for intermittent service. It also indicated that BS MA-18 is to be referred to for pipe size smaller than (DN200) 8inch.

Would greatly appreciate if someone could share a copy of BS MA-18 Specification for salt water piping systems in ships
