Hi all!
I want to design a Gain Scheduled Level controller for a 3-ph. separator, say to control water oil level. For the low and high level range will have the same aggressive settings (higher gain and less integral time) while for the mid range I ll use more conservative settings. I thought of a combination of PID's and Selector or Override control.
Any hints?
Secondly, the Process Variable should be normalized between the level taps (low L and high H). I used an algebraic controller that receives the level signal from the tank and then subtracts the low level tap value (L) as a signal from a manualoutput controller and the divides it with the difference (H-L) which is provided by a second manual output controller. It works but is there anything simpler?
