Design Project Structure and Procedure

Dear colleges,

I am first time in international project. All is new for me. It’s a very difficult to understand Design project structure.

For example, for compressor or pump selection I should provide the special procedures:

1)Process flow Diagram (PFD), PID, Process Data Sheet (PDS)
2)Then – Mechanical Data Sheet (MDS)
3) Then I shall design the Specifications and Material requisition (MR)
4) After that I shall design Data Sheet for Bid
5) After tender I shall provide to Customer document- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for equipment selection.
6) And for wined Vendor I shall provide renewed complex of documentation and Data Sheet.

So many steps for equipment selection!!!

Ok.

But where I can find describing of this process? Where I can find information about Design Project Structure? How I shall design Technical Document Register (TDR)? What the requirements for PFD, PID, Drawings?

If Customer has comments for Project Documentation, they shall provide me CRC.
What is it?

What the different between FEED and Detail Engineering stage? How I can understand the enough of information for project?

Please advise me any book or standards where I can find this information – philosophy and structure for Design Project, Procedure of Project.

It is very hard to these documentation without prior experience. Meaning if you dont posses these datsheet by yourself. Though I am not an expert. I am also Woking in a small EPC company.

But lets not be pessimistic. The whole proces is a colaboration of engineers from different background.

My workway would be for process engineering. Do fist material energy balnce. Then all the PFD and p& id. Then contact to differnt vendors to do the sizing on behalf of you. Thay will also supply necessary documentation which you will need for the project. You have to rigorously check all the calculation and datasheet.

I am not advertising another forum but you can post this in cheresource.com. I have seen some experianced person their. Thogh you might get admonished by someone at first but you will be benefitted. I also want to learn.
