Hi all, i was sizing my pipeline using pipesime. As i increase the size, i come to a point where the inlet pressure is lower than the outlet pressure having fixed the outlet condition. With a negative pressure drop, what does this mean?

you need to increase the inlet pressure or install a pump to fix the output condition.
Firstly make system analysis with different sizes by keeping constant and pressure. You can also use Pressure-Length comparison your pressure drop. Pls dont forget that when you increase pipe pressure your fluid velocity will decrease and pressure drop decrease as well. Therefore, after analysis i mentioned above, you can understand that you need extra pump or not to overcome the pressure drop to reach the wanted end pressure as you want to design. Hope it helps.
when you increase pipe diameter i meant.
First select proper pipe size, for instance use[link Point to another website Only the registered members can access]
then repeat you calculations.
