    Problem with ChemCAD

    Hi, i'm new here.
And i have a question regarding the installation of chemcad with the c.rack Chemcad was running on my system but after two months the window "no valid license found" at the beginning popped up. The only magnificent changes i did were the windows updates. I was deactivating my antivirus during installation and placed the c.rack properly. There is a file called "file_id.diz". Do i have to consider this file? I thought maybe someone knows something about this problem.
    Thanks in advance.

R U using 6.2 version. Looks like it expired on Jan 1 , 2013. It stopped working after that.
I formatted but it never worked. So go for other version

Oh this seems to be the Problem. Thank you.
I used 6.2.0.3348 and after that i tried 6.3.1.4168 but both versions are expired.
Do you have a suggestion what version could work. Or just keep trying.
But thank you very much for your help.

I had the same problem and had to deactivate my anti virus software while I uninstalled and re-installed ChemCad. Performed the following instructions and ChemCad is working again.
    Instruction:
    1. Install Chemcad-6.3.1-4168.exe
    2. Extract server.zip and run Setup.exe to install Sentinel Server
    3. Extract LM7admin.zip to C:\ directory
    4. In extracted LM7admin directory, run WlmAdmin.exe. Select Edit and Defined Server List option. Enter your local machine IP address and click OK to add server
    5. Click on new server address in tree menu and right click to select Add feature|From a File|Add feature from file|To Server and Its File. When prompted browse and select "lservrc" file in ----- folder
    6. When you expand your defined server should see features available
    7. Open Chemcad, no license screen appears, click setup and then select Add/Remove Server option
    8. If server not in list, select "license server" under the Select server type drop down and then enter IP address used in Step 4
    9. Chemcad is -----ed and run with all features!

Hi, i can't find such server.zip or LM7admin.zip. It's even not in the installed folder of chemcad. The c.rack in my version is just a cc6.exe file nothing else. Are those zip files coming with your main setup file of chemcad.
When i start ChemCAD, i turn on the LAN but still doesnt work.
Thank you very much for your help really appreciate that.

    Re: Problem with ChemCAD

If you want the c.racked version to run (auto detect the license), just change the OS date to a year like 2012.
