How to calculate the life span of pipe?. Can any one please help?
Is there any calculation to determine the life span of pipes?
Please help.
I faced this question in one interview.

Life span of pipes?? Depends of a number of factors - creep - fatigue - corrosion are a few. You need to have operational data for the piping system and then perform an assessment.

I would recommend reading up on 'fatigue analysis' to get an indication of the lifespan of a drillstring under certain operating conditions, notwithstanding the particular history of the pipe/string.
