Thread: 2" Nozzle on 180 Deg on 4" Line

  1. 2" Nozzle on 180 Deg on 4" Line

    Dear All Members,

I have a little doubt on welding a nozzle or weldolets. There are two minor barrels of Pig Traps 6" & 4" and need to put 2" Nozzle 2 nos on each barrel. Is it advisable to have 2" Nozzle on 12 O' Clock & 6 O' Clock position in same axis on 4" or 6" barrel pipe?

Expecting all member to reflect their views on this, the criteria and feasibility for welding.

    Thanks

The problem is only with the reinforcement area of each nozzle if that is available than no problem in orientation. (I don't know the process conditions of ur system what I suggested relates to a simple pressurized header/pipe with Nozzle connection)
