Hi everybody,


I have been asked to study free water knockout tank that is in vertical position and separate oil from water. In this study, I need to focus on the following design aspects :
1) The inlet flow of the tank
2) The internals of the tank (diffuser and skimmer) in order to get the best performance in separation process.


Could you please explain to me the main parts of the free water knockout tank so that i will be able to deal with this study !!
