I have a question for you with respect that “how to decide optimum production rate in a certain well after VFP modeling?”
As I understood, after well testing, it is possible to model the well flow performance with IPR & VLP curves to honor production performance in real, and with this model, we can design the choke or tubing size to meet target flow rate, or we can estimate flow rate with a certain tubing, choke size condition etc.
my question is, when we need to decide optimum production rate in the point of reservoir maintenance, how to decide this optimum production rate?
Some idea is carrying out reservoir simulation combined with WFP table for different production rates to get maximum recovery from the reservoir, but this will take too much time and inefficient.
(is there any method combining with material balance analysis, or whatever...)
is anybody show me "how the operator decides optimum production rate in the real situation?"
Best regards,
JUNG
