Instrument Hookup

HI! i want know about instrument hookup, as i am going through some hookup, i was getting confused as i have seen more then one method of installing the same instrument for same application, is there any guidelines for making them or we just go by process requirement to develop a Hookup.

instru hookup will be based on amb. temp, process fluide property, pipeing layout, experience.

if you can shear those two hookup, we can disscuse.
