A lot of our clients are small independent oil and gas companies who send us an email to design, say, a separator for this this stream. They only give us specific gravity, flowrate, operating temperature and pressure. They don’t include gas/oil composition. Most of the time, when we send a data sheet back to be filled out with composition, we never hear back again. So, is it possible to estimate composition (especially gas and condensate) from those 4 values? If anyone has a spreadsheet, I will appreciate if you can share it. I know that composition is not required for hand calculation, but we use Hysys and ProMax now, and you can size anything if you don’t have a composition (especially gas). Can someone assist me?
