KG-TOWER® Software Download and Installation Instructions
Thank you for submitting your information.
Procedures are provided for three options to download and install
KG-TOWER version 4.0:
• Download to a temporary folder and install immediately.
• Copy the software to your computer and install immediately.
• Copy the software to your computer and install at a later time.
Remove all previous versions of KG-TOWER software from your workstation before installing KG-TOWER version 4.0.
NOTE: KG-TOWER version 4.0 will open files created by all previous versions.
1. From the Windows Taskbar, select Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs.
2. Select KG-TOWER® [version #].
3. Select Remove to display the Add or Remove Programs dialog box.
4. Select Yes. A dialog box displays to show the progress. The Add or Remove Programs window displays after the software is removed.
5. Repeat the procedure to remove all versions of KG-TOWER software.
6. Close the Add or Remove Programs and Control Panel windows.
7. Proceed with download and installation of KG-TOWER version 4.0.

System Requirements
• Operating Systems:
o Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 (SP4) or higher
OR
o Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or higher
OR
o Windows Vista
• .NET Framework 1.1
o If you have any of the above named operating systems and service packs, .NET Framework should already be installed on your system. If you have an earlier service pack for either Windows 2000 or Windows XP or if you are running Windows Vista, you may need to download and install .NET Framework 1.1 from Microsoft. Selecting the link will open the Microsoft Web page to obtain the .NET Framework 1.1.
o NOTE: You must also be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher for installation of the .NET Framework.
• WinHlp32
o If you have Windows Vista operating system and want to view the Help files in KG-TOWER® software, you must download and install WinHlp32 Help Engine.
• Administrator rights to your computer for the installation
Download KG-TOWER® software to a temporary folder and install immediately
1. Select Download KG-TOWER_4.0_Install.msi (Full Version, 25 MB, .msi) to start the download process.
NOTE: A small percentage of users have experienced difficulties with the .msi file. If the .msi installation is not successful, select Download KG-TOWER_4.0_Install.exe (Full Version, 25 MB, .exe) to start the download process.
2. In the File Download window, select Run to download the program to a temporary folder. A Security Warning message may display, depending on the security settings for your computer.
3. Select Run to start the Installation Wizard.
The installation wizard displays: Welcome to the KG-TOWER® 4.0 Installation Wizard.
The Installation Wizard recommends closing all Windows software programs.
o Do not close the browser.
o You do not need to cancel the Installation Wizard to close the Windows software programs.
4. Select Next to continue the installation
5. In the User Information window:
o Type your full name and organization.
o Select an option to either allow all users of your computer (or only you) to be able to run the program
o Select Next.
6. Choose a destination folder and select Next.
NOTE: The default destination folder (c:\Program Files\KG-TOWER 4.0) is recommended.
All required information has been supplied for the installation.
7. Select Next to start the installation of the files. The Updating System window displays to show the progress of the installation.
8. When the necessary files have been installed, "KG-TOWER® 4.0 has been successfully installed" displays.
9. Select Finish to exit the installation.
You have successfully installed KG-TOWER® Equipment Rating Program!

1. Select Download KG-TOWER_4.0_Install.msi (Full Version, 25 MB, .msi) to start the download process.

3. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the software.
4. Select Save to download the software.
5. Select Run to start the installation.
A Security Warning message may display, depending on the security settings for your computer.
6. Select Run to launch the Installation Wizard.
The Installation Wizard displays: Welcome to the KG-TOWER® 4.0 Installation Wizard.

Download KG-TOWER software to your computer

Install KG-TOWER software
1. Close all Windows software programs
2. From the Windows Taskbar, select Start >> Run >> Browse.
3. Navigate to the folder where the software is saved.
4. In the Browse window:
o If you downloaded the KG-TOWER_4.0_Install.msi file, in Files of type, select All Files to display the file name.
o If you downloaded the KG-TOWER_4.0_Install.exe file, the file name should display automatically. If not, in Files of type, select All Files to display the file name.
5. Double-click the file name to place the file name in the Run dialog box.
6. In the Run dialog box, select OK.
A Security Warning message may display, depending on the security settings on your computer.
7. In the Open File dialog box, select Run to launch the Installation Wizard.
The Installation Wizard displays: Welcome to the KG-TOWER® 4.0 Installation Wizard.
8. Select Next to continue the installation.
