ETAP Real - Time

Hi,

Anyone knows how to setup ETAP Real Time server? It's supposed that a demo exits in ETAP distro but really I only found it in ETAP 6.0.
I'm trying to setup an online system for watching and controlling live data from motors and transformers...

if you have the license software.. you can always ask OTI for it.. i am not really familiar with it.. but i have seen a actual demo regarding it, you see you can still use for existing data concentrator.. but you to use OPC server for data protocol conversion..

example.. ur existing RTU/data concentrator uses DNP3.0 for scada.. ETAP will use OPC to convert it to a protocol that is usable it ETAP..

No I haven't the license software. I'm looking for a demo with Real -Time capabilities. Which is the demo that already have Real - Time Systems?
The main idea is to use OPC Simultacion server from Matrikon to provide data to ETAP Real - Time and test it.

i was talking about the real demo.. what we did is that we ask personnel from OTI to demonstrate to us how to configure Real Time Capabilities with their sample hardware.. and they brought sample hardware and they tried to control it via ETAP.

perhaps if your company is really interested in it, you can always have a "DEMO to purchase" way, in which OTI will use your existing system and incorporate it in your ETAP.

And do you have a copy of ETAP Real - Time demo? Or maybe you could share how to configure Real Time Capabilities. Some manuals or guides will be nice.
By now I'm trying by my university to get a working copy of ETAP Real - Time, but it seems to complicated. They don't have "Academic Licenses". So negotiation is for a full license. I'm waiting...

as i told you before we just ask OTI to demonstrate, and we DID NOT ask for a copy, it is just like buying. yes, it is complicated if you do not have the OPC software..
