Thread: Gas Field Production Decrease

  1. Gas Field Production Decrease

I need your help/advice. What might be the reason(s) for a quick drop in gas production. The well was doing 1.2 MMSCF/d (almost stable flow) a week ago and dropped to 0.2 MMSCF/d. What could be the troubleshooting?

YOu should proceed by elimination. If your FTHP has dropped, it means the problem is the downhole. Naw check if the passage is free down to the sandface by running gauge cutters with slickline. If it your tubing is free, suspect the sand face!!! ( The sandface pb can be checked with a Build up test).
