Dynsim login in problem

Dear friends,

I successfully installed the c*****k version but after installing, I could not login using the password and username as simsci .

Couple of months back, I was able to access the software using this username and passwor but now it says username/password incorrect. Further it says that user SIM4ME configuration editor to reset the services . Any idea how to reset the username and password. Please help !

Can anyone on this forum confirm if others are also facing a similar problem.

I have tried uninstallation and reinstallation a number of times but the same problem is persisting.

1 -It should be a result of change of IP number. Any time, in Dynamic IP configurator, it happens!
2 -You could fix it going on "Initiate\All programs\SIMSCI\DSS4.x.x\" and look for "DSS Host Configurator Editor".
3 -Execute it like adminstrator case you use Win 7. There, look for set interface.
4 -Will appear a new Window with a IP number (if there is more than one, you need remove the others on your net work configurator).
5 -Set the IP (still on DSS host conf. dialog box) then click on 'Reset' buttom.
6 -Some times it's need restart the pc. You should do it if you want.

I just checked it , I could not locate the file " DSS HOST CONFIGURATION EDITOR" . Could you please drop a hint . I can see you already gave the path but following that path I could not locate. Thanks . May be I am so frustrated that I cannot see things even though they are right in front of me. I hope you understand. I have been struggling with this problem. Thanks.

What OS do you are using?
And what version is your Dynsim?
Becouse I'm using Win 7 OS. In this, you shoul just go in the "begin\all programs\SIMSCI\DSS45 or DSS42\DSS Host Configurator Editor
You should look for this file on "seach mecanism of windows"

There is nothing wrong with your English. It is perfectly fine. I asked you because I could not locate the file. Thanks Sidineik. I will get back to you . I am using XP SP2 ..its pretty old but earlier when I had installed Dynsim 4.2 , it was working fine. Recently I had to format my system and with formatting brought all these new problems. Thanks. I will try everything that you suggested and will get back to you whatever is the result. Thanks again. I am happy .

I'm think that this old version the 'DSS Host configurator Editor' has an other name = AMEditor.exe. It should be find in the same path as told or you could look for ir in this path one:
C:\SIMSCI\DSS45\Servers\bin\AMEditor.exe

Thanks again. You are spot on. I did not know that I was using an older version. Yes, I can see the file AMEditor.exe following the path you mentioned. I think I will be able to resolve the issue now. Thanks loads man ! . I regret why did not think of sharing my problem on this forum knowing very well that this the only forum where I may find people using Dynsim and willing to share their expertise and help others. What is the latest version of DYNSIM ? and Where may I find ? ..

Have you install Dynsim 4.2.4 (what is the version ?) in win 7 64 bits in your stand-alone PC disconnected of any network? What is a version of flexlm? 7.5, 9.5 or 11?

I have problems to tune the server and service. How you make that. i appreciate your help.

Do you know any cr------ for Dynsim 5.0 with flexlm 9.5?

Hello folks,
I have installed and run Dynsim 4.2.4 in 32 Windows XP SP3 successfully without any problems. I don't know if it would work with Windows 7.

In fact most of the technical software would not work with Windows 7 or Vista. If you intend to use any such technical software, I would say have a dual boot system with XP SP3 and I see no reason why you should have problems installing it.
