Thanks a lot, friend..but for me it does not work in windows7..do you have a little more detailed instruction to install? It would be a great tool to have, for sure..

    Your share is much appreciated.

  5. This is a guidance from a member of this forum (thanks to edta). I followed his guidance below and I got OLGA 7 run on Windows 7 64 bits.

If you are facing the error message "... can not find LM_LICENSE_FILE..." when trying to run OLGA in Win 7, you can try the following steps:

+ Firstly, you should follow all the instruction in the package that was uploaded to the forum (config License as Demo or node, replace all ----- files, etc.)

+ Go to Control Panel\System and Security\System\Advanced system settings. Then to Advanced tab and choose Environment Variables. In this widow, you can see 2 parts, one in the upper side is User variables for [your account], the lower one is System variables.

+ Check in the System variables whether it has the Variable LM_LICENSE_FILE or not. If not, you can add a new one with detail as below:

    Variable name = LM_LICENSE_FILE

Variable value = path to the OLGA license file (normally in Win 7 64 bit, it is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\SPT Group\Licenses\olga.lic)

If it already has this value, you can take a look at User variables (upper side) to confirm that the variable LM_LICENSE_FILE has the value as same as the OLGA 7's license file path. If it is not same (it usually happens when you already have the previous version of OLGA installed), please correct it.

    + Run the software again.

    Good luck.

  6. Instructions to run on XP or Wins 7 64 bit system
    - Run Setup.exe to install Olga 7
    - Select "Use a demo license (or node locked license)"
    - When SPT license handler appears, configure and select olga.lic license in -----
    - Complete install and run msxml update if needed
    - Next extract ******** directory and replace all ----- files by copying each file into the appropriate installed subdirectory.
    - copy olga.lic license in ----- into C:\Program Files (x86)\SPT Group\Licenses.
    - modify olga.lic as follows :

    SERVER your computer_name ANY 7570
    ###VENDOR scplmd
    ###USE_SERVER

    - run licmgr.exe in this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SPT Group\FlexLm.
    - Select "Use a demo license (or node locked license)" and click "configure"
    - Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\SPT Group\Licenses\olga.lic and the add :7570@computer_name"
so it looks like this "7570@computer_name;C:\Program Files (x86)\SPT Group\Licenses\olga.lic". Click Ok and close.
    - run lmtools.exe in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SPT Group\FlexLm.
    - run your software.

To run on Windows 7 64 bits :

+ Go to Control Panel\System and Security\System\Advanced system settings. Then to Advanced tab and choose Environment Variables. In this window, you can see 2 parts, one in the upper side is User variables for [your account], the lower one is System variables.

    + Run the software.

    Good luck.
