ASME B16.5-Non Mand-App-'A'-sec-A3-Ceiling Pressure

Dear all,

in ASME B16.5 non mandatory appendix A, there is a section A3 regarding ceiling pressure.

There are some points which i dont understand?

A) how the celiling pressure is determined?

B) The ceiling pressure–temperature values set an upper bound for high-strength materials and are imposed to limit deflection. what are these high strength materials?

C) The rules for establishing pressure–temperature ratings include consideration of ceiling pressures pc that effectively set limits on the selected stress. what are the selected stresses? is it referred from A2.2 or A2.3 or ?
