I am newly join this forum and this is my first posting.

My company has a current offshore project which is a condensate medium service metering system of SHELL.

And I am facing one problem about the Y-strainer (Design code - ASME VIII Div 1 2010) from my supplier clarification.

They said "NDT testing is not required for these item as per ASME Section VIII Division 1 2010 Edition and CSA B51. As such, NDT reports are not applicable in this case. "

Is it true ?

I truly need somebody advise.
