Martin , Thank you very much. I have used the Cvs of full bore ball valve and back calculated the peak rate.Great.It worked well.
When there is RO, Hysys has valve parameters to size a valve using Fisher, Relief, subsonic supersonic etc..I used Relief valve formula. It was working .I was stuck with no RO case.
How did you derive the formula? what is critical condition? Do I have to verify critical conditions and check.Please for your kind advise.

It would be fruitful if you present the case study(input would be desirable) to understand fully. Is this the Centrufugal compressor with the KOD with a dump valve? If my question is sensible, please reply.
