Oilfield production help needed - can you explain it to me?

Hello,

I am working on a academic research project for O&G field production. I am not an Engineer or work in the Oil&Gas business thus do not have the necessary background to do this on my own.

Are there any books that you recommend I read? Also, is there someone on here who is willing to help, I can compensate you.

I am specifically looking to understand the basics of:

1) Primary separation equipment
2) Line heater/Heater Treater
3) Flow control systems
4) Measurement equipment
5) EFM & SCADA equipment

I look forward to your help and as I said I can compensate if needed.

Study "Surface Production operations", volume 1 and 2 by Ken Arnold and Jhon Campbell's Gas conditioning and Processing, I hope you will have fairly good idea for the topics you mentioned.

Hi Nasiruddin,

Thanks for your reply, I have obtained those books. However, as I am not an Engineer, I am having a difficult time understanding some of the concepts. I am not interested in the technical calculations, but more so about how the machines work and are layed out in the field.

Would you or anyone else be willing to spare an hour of time via phone/skype to help me understand some points better? I will be able to compensate the person for their time, and can pay via paypal or some other suitable online method.
