Thread: Petrel export files

  1. Question Petrel export files

I notice that Petrel export files are quite poor compared with old Eclipse format.
Especial in the grid section is almost nothing.
Under this circumstances if you start a simulation in Petrel will be tricky to be supervised by more experienced engineer that like to work with Eclipse files.

In other words once you started with Petrel you have to remain there?

what you have to do is inly export from petrel the grid files (geometric grid + props grids) and then, if you have the wells with it's completions and the production loaded in petrel, you can export the schedule file, but then is better to build the whole model with a text processor to have full control over it.

    best regards
