Thread: What is the difference between jacketted and double walled pressure vessels?

  1. Exclamation What is the difference between jacketted and double walled pressure vessels?

    Hello Everyone,

I just recently recieved a proposal for Double walled pressure vessels. Everyone here is stating it is a jacketted vessels. They do sound the same but I just want to confirm whether the two are the same or not.
The following is the excrept from the e-mail,

Cryogenic Liquid Gas Storage Tank, Capacity= 5m3, type=Horizontal/Vertical double-walled, powder insulated/vacuum super insulation

Also i would like to inquire what are the commonly used materials for it as I've not come across this sort of servicing vessels before. Also what code is recommended for it and the general guidelines to be followed.

Anyone's input in this matter would be highly appreciated.

    Regards,

    fox

    HI!

You may use this code BS 7777 Part 2:1993 or later version, this applicable for that case..

  5. The hard section is selection material for support between inner and outer shell.
If material didn't meet, there are condensation from outer shell.

  6. Do you have this code? Since i am working behind a firewall which doesn't allow downloading, it gets very tough to find standards that easily. If you can send it over to my e-mail address i would be most obliged.
