My tutor let me investigate some big discoveries about oil and gas resources and these discoveries must be found by geophysical technology. Does anyone have any info about it ? Please tell me the area and the corresponding geophysical technology. Thank you very very much.......

i suggest you to search about using DHI ( direct hydrocarbon indecator) in deltas (Nile or Niger)

I would suggest u some of the latest techniques. One is Passive seismic tomography, and the name of the company is Landtech Inc. The other technique is thermal modelling , for which we use Petromod 2D, and the name of the company is IES.
In fact I could not make out what u wanted to convey. Do let me know in detail about ur requirements and I would be glad to help

Almost all big petroleum discoverys used 2D/3D seismic reflexion for the first drill. Just pick an oil field and describe the technique
